As we eagerly await the second season of the splashy Gossip Woman reboot – presumably full of much more It-bags, dramatic showdowns and poisonous love triangles – there’s one other shiny responsible pleasure about Manhattan’s elite ready within the wings to take its crown: the long-delayed second instalment of the Ryan Murphy-produced anthology collection Feud. Its focus this time round? The true story of Truman Capote and his coterie of socialites, whom he referred to as his “swans”.

(On 16 September, Selection introduced that the latter, the previous showgirl Ann Woodward, could be performed by none aside from Demi Moore.) Cue a mass exodus of the so-called swans and nearly full social isolation for the author.
In response to Deadline, the miniseries will open within the Seventies and finish with Capote’s loss of life in 1984, because of liver illness sophisticated by phlebitis and drug intoxication on the age of 59.
